The Porsche 935 is a Group 5 “silhouette” racing car developed by Porsche AG and produced between 1977 and 1981. Designed by Norbert Singer, the 935 was a highly competitive racing car from the start. This initial iteration of the 935 was powered by a 531 BHP 3.0L twin-turbo flat-6 engine; later versions of the 935 increase the engine’s displacement. About 80,935 of all variants are produced; about 40 from Porsche and another 40 from other privateers, notably Kremer. Porsche Designed and built for racing, the 935’s twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with its mechanical fuel injection system was capable of generating up to 845 horsepower and its performance on the track made the 935 a familiar sight in the winner’s circle.
