The McLaren Elva is a limited production two-seat convertible sports car manufactured by McLaren Automotive. It is the fifth car in the Ultimate Series, after F1, P1, Senna and Speedtail. The car references the automaker Elva, with which founder Bruce McLaren collaborated to produce his first race cars; the name “Elva” in turn is derived from the phrase “elle va”, which translates to “she goes” in French. Production of the Elva was originally scheduled to be 399 units, but due to reduced production time and lower parts availability, production of the Elva was reduced to 149 units.
